Business can be simple, but it isn’t meant to be easy. If it was easy, everyone would do it.
Sometimes I worry that people hear me talking about “simple business” and think that I mean business is easy. That it requires no hard work.
That is not the case.
Do I believe you have to ‘hustle’ to maintain a profitable online business? No, at least not after your initial period of establishing the business.
But will you have to put in some hard work sometimes? Absolutely.
In my eyes, hustle and hard work are two different things. And so is “simple” and “easy.”
Business will be hard sometimes, that’s just a fact.
Sometimes, you’ll feel like an imposter. You’ll get an unhappy client. You’ll have to make tough decisions. You’ll have to take risks and make investments and bet on yourself, and it will feel wildly uncomfortable.
So if running a business comes with so many mental and emotional challenges, why do people make business even harder for themselves by adding messy backend processes and complicated marketing funnels to the mix?
