LAUNCH REVIEW

Life had its own plans during my actual launch, and I didn't execute the webinar launch I had initially planned. However, the pre-launch to my waitlist proved to be a game-changer, bringing in a solid $15,840. Let's delve into the strategies that made this pre-launch successful.

1. Waitlist Strategy

Three months before the launch of my group coaching program, I strategically built up my waitlist.

I incorporated prompts into every email, placing them at the top and within the body. In a world where attention is scarce, your call-to-action (CTA) needs to be upfront.

Utilizing Instagram, I employed @manychat to automate responses when people commented "WAITLIST," sending them the necessary details and the link to join.

2. Content Strategy

Consistency was key, with five posts per week over three months. To streamline the process, I batched my content creation.

  1. Content Inspiration Folder: I created an Instagram folder called Content Inspiration, where I saved viral content adaptable to my niche.

  2. Utilizing Hooks and Styles: I mirrored the hooks, styles, and reel lengths of successful content.

  3. Data-Driven Approach: Regularly checking my insights enabled me to create more content tailored to my audience's preferences.

While I used viral reels as a guide, my primary focus was not virality but conversion.

3. Survey Strategy

Following the pre-launch, I sent out surveys to those who didn't join, aiming to understand their hesitations. This dual-purpose strategy allowed for market research and provided an opportunity to address concerns, offering a final chance to join at the waitlist price before it increased permanently.

Success Stories and Strategies That Worked

Some strategies that proved successful include:

  • Fast Action Bonus: Offering a time-limited bonus resulted in three sales within 15 minutes of the cart opening.

  • Q&A Engagement: Hosting Q&A sessions, both recorded and live, fostered engagement.

  • Empathetic Approach: Rather than pushing for a sale, I focused on answering questions, soothing hesitations, and letting potential clients make informed decisions.

Challenges and Reflections

As with any venture, challenges and areas for improvement emerged:

  1. Refund Policy Dilemma: Implementing a no-refund policy in coaching raised uncertainties about its impact on sales. Despite this, the waitlist conversion remained above average.

  2. Incomplete Launch Execution: Life's unpredictability interfered, preventing the full execution of the planned launch, including a desired webinar or challenge.

  3. Lack of Advanced Planning: While the waitlist pre-launch was meticulously scheduled, the same cannot be said for the launch itself. Going forward, a more robust planning and scheduling approach is essential to maintain momentum and engagement.

In conclusion, the success of the pre-launch lies in a strategic blend of building anticipation, consistent content creation, and addressing potential concerns. As I navigate through these challenges, the journey continues, with lessons learned and new strategies on the horizon.
