Reviving a Dead Instagram Account: How I Reached 257k in 90 Days
Hey there, welcome back to another episode of navigating the wild world of Instagram! Today, I'm spilling the beans on how I managed to revive my once-dead Instagram account and skyrocketed to 257k followers, most of them brand new, in just 90 days.
But before we dive into the nitty-gritty details, don't forget to check out the link in the description for my free guide on turning followers into consistent clients and achieving 5-10k months with just 3-day work weeks. Now, let's get started!
To Revive or Not to Revive: The Decision-Making Process
If you're dealing with a dormant Instagram account, the first question that probably crossed your mind is whether to revive it or start anew. I decided against starting over because I firmly believe that without a solid strategy, a new account won't fare any better than the old one. Unless you've bought followers or shifted your niche, you can still breathe life back into your existing account.
Since becoming consistent again in August 2023, I've not only revived my account but also gained over a thousand email opt-ins directly from Instagram. And let me tell you, countless clients and course sales have followed suit.
Understanding the Numbers: Don't Beat Yourself Up!
Before we dive into the resurrection process, let's address a common misconception. It's entirely normal for your account to reach only 8-10% of your following. So, if you're hitting that mark, cut yourself some slack. The social media landscape has changed, and this is the average reach today.
The Revival Blueprint: How I Did It
Consistency is Key: Posting 5-7 times a week became my mantra. Forget about the days when posting twice a week could cut it. Quality over quantity is making a comeback, so aim for the sweet spot—around 4 times a week if possible.
Reel in the Views: Create a folder on your phone named "Blank Reels" to capture snippets of everyday activities. This ensures you always have engaging content ready for your Instagram Reels.
Strategic Content Batching: Say goodbye to posting whatever comes to mind each day. Batching content weekly or monthly allows for a more strategic approach to content creation.
Harness Your Energy: Create content during the higher energy phases of your menstrual cycle, or simply align content creation with your peak energy times. Working with your energy, not against it, is a game-changer.
Forget About Going Viral: Focus on converting views and followers into sales, clients, and email list subscribers. Going viral is a by-product, not the main goal. This mindset shift is not only kinder to your mental health but also to your bank account.
